Lancome’s Joan Shares Tips for "Listening" to your Skin

I used  to believe you were born with good skin or you weren’t and in my early 20’s I fell into the category of “weren’t” as I had acne all over my face.  When I joined cosmetics I was put on the strict skincare regimen and couldn’t believe the difference in my skin in just 6 weeks.  That’s why I’m such a strong believer in great skincare.

For me proper cleansing is the foundation of good skin.  Using a cleanser that doesn’t strip the skin of it’s vital moisture barrier is everything.  For a dry skin we understand the importance of adding moisture even during the cleansing process.  However most people who have combination and oily skin want that squeaky clean feeling and often strip their skin of its natural moisture and the oil glands work even harder and produce more oil.
I’m a great believer in “ listening” to your skin, if that makes sense.  Just as our bodies know when the food we eat works for us, the skin also knows.
Keep your skincare routine simple yet effective.  Serums are my answer to great looking skin.  I’ve been using serums for 26 years and I swear by them. They penetrate deeply and contains ingredients that work quickly.  Again, use serums that are right for you. As I’ve matured addicted to the benefits of using targeted serums.  I’m now 51 years old and have had no procedures done to my skin at all.  Yes I eat well and drink 3 liters of water a day but without the serums in my skincare routine I know my skin would not look how it does today.
Here’s my personal skincare regime.  Each steps takes me no time at all and it’s as easy as brushing my teeth.
Morning:
Step 1.  Cleanse with Lancôme Crème Radiance as I love the feeling of splashing with water to give me that lovely fresh and awake feeling
Step 2.  Make sure my skin is glowing and healthy looking with Genifique Youth Activating Serum (just 3 little drops is all I need).
Follow with my targeted serumVisionnaire to correct the look of lines and wrinkles as well as ensuring the texture of my skin is smooth and even
Step 3.  Eyes!!!!  Be super gentle with your eye area.  I use Genifique Eye to brighten my eye area and follow with Renergie Multi Action Eye to lift and firm the appearance of my eye area
Step 4.  Moisturize with Renergie Multi Action SPF 15.  I LOVE this moisturizer as it works all day long to lift, tighten and firm the appearance of my skin.

In the evening I use Bifacil eye makeup remover on a cotton pad and gently remove my eye makeup.  I love mascara and eyeliner so gently and effectively removing it is absolutely key to me.  Again, be super gentle with your eye area.
I follow the same routine as day time except I use Reviva (which I can’t wait for you to try) instead of Visionnaire. I love the plumping, firming and lifting it gives my skin and I saw it from the first night I used it.
So in a nut shell, for me it’s all about finding what works for you.  Use a great cleanser to clean your skin and amazing serums to work on the areas that are the biggest concern for you.  For me it’s my eye area for brightening and my face for glowing skin that’s plump, lifted and firmer.
